Gastroesophageal Reflux Study
A Phase 3, Randomized, Double-Blind, Multicenter Study to Evaluate the Efficacy and Safety of Vonoprazan 10 and 20 mg Compared to Placebo for Relief of Heartburn in Subjects with Symptomatic Non-Erosive Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (NERD) After 4 Weeks and to Evaluate the Efficacy and Safety of Vonoprazan 10 and 20 mg for Relief of Heartburn in Subjects with NERD After 6 Months.
Must have reported heartburn symptoms for at least 5 years and agree to have an upper endoscopy completed.
Estimated Study Duration:
The total duration of the study may last up to 4 months.

The purpose of this study, which involves research, is to determine whether the investigational drug, vonoprazan, is safe and effective in the potential treatment of symptomatic non-erosive gastroesophageal reflux disease compared to a placebo.
HOW DO I KNOW IF I QUALIFY TO PARTICIPATE?
You might qualify to participate if you have been experiencing frequent heartburn over the last six months.
You must be at least 18 years old and will need to meet with a physician who is participating in this study to determine if you are fully eligible and if this study is right for you.
HOW LONG DOES THIS STUDY LAST AND WHAT WILL I HAVE TO DO?
If you decide to participate in this study, you will be asked to attend a total of 10 study visits (6 in person at study location and 4 phone call contacts) over 33 weeks.
Your study physician will provide you with the study drug, which could contain either active treatment or placebo, and perform assessments to track your overall health and progress throughout the study.
