Advanced diagnosis of GI bleeding & polyps

Gastrointestinal bleeding is usually a symptom of a disease rather than a disease itself. Most GI bleeding is related to curable or controllable conditions like ulcers or hemorrhoids, but some is life-threatening. Our extensive training ensures a more accurate diagnosis and proper treatment, without painful invasive surgery.

Polyps, or abnormal growths on the colon wall, are where cancer begins. The tendency to grow polyps is often hereditary. Fortunately, our experience in endoscopic procedures means polyps can often be removed before cancer starts, if detected early enough.

Capsule endoscopy lets your doctor examine the middle lining of the gastrointestinal tract and evaluate the small intestine, which cannot be reached by traditional upper endoscopy or colonoscopy. He can search for a cause of bleeding. It helps with detecting polyps, inflammatory bowel disease (Crohn’s disease), ulcers, abnormal blood vessels and tumors of the small intestine.
